The Problem

One decision has started to take up more space than you want to admit.

You keep returning to it. You think it through from another angle. You wait for better timing, clearer evidence, a safer option, or a version of the choice that does not ask quite so much of you.

It is not that you are careless or unaware. You may already know more than you are letting yourself act on. You may feel the weight of the choice in your attention, your energy, your patience, or the way you are participating in the parts of life connected to it.

Thinking has not been enough to settle it.

What is left is the same circling, the same private rehearsals, and the quiet cost of staying close to the decision without fully meeting what is yours to choose.

The Solution

The Choice Point is a complete one-day retreat you guide yourself through, anywhere, at your own pace.

It is not about forcing a rushed decision, pretending the answer is simple, or pushing yourself into action before you are ready. It is a structured day for looking honestly at the decision you keep circling, separating what is yours to choose from what is not yours to control, and finding one grounded next step you can take with integrity.

The work is yours and stays private. There is no group, no call, and no one watching you process.

Across the day you will:

  • Choose one real decision and bring it into clear focus.

  • Notice where waiting, delay, or avoidance may already be showing.

  • Separate your responsibility from the reactions, outcomes, and certainty you cannot fully control.

  • Look at the choices that actually exist, including the uncomfortable ones.

  • Explore what each choice asks of you practically and emotionally.

  • Name one grounded next step you are willing and able to take.

The retreat draws on psychological reflection, body awareness, and carefully sequenced retreat design. It has been built so the day stays honest without becoming overwhelming, with breaks, movement, audio support, and evening integration built in.

What's Inside

Regulate: Arriving Fully

Settle into the day before the deeper work begins, with an optional grounding practice.

Recognise: What Keeps Returning

Name the decision that keeps circling and bring it into clearer focus.

Reveal: What Waiting Does

Notice where delay may already be showing in your behaviour, energy, or honesty.

Reckon: What's Yours Here

Separate what belongs to you from the reactions, outcomes, and certainty you cannot control.

Pause: Take A Walk

Step away from the page, move gently, and let the work settle before choosing.

Realign: Equal To The Choice

Stand with the real choices available and notice what each one asks of you.

Return: Carry it Forward

Name the choice, the part of you that needs to lead, and one grounded next action.

Aftercare: Evening Integration

Let the day settle with a quieter evening and an optional before-sleep meditation.

Plus: Optional guided audio practices to support the day.

Who this is for

This retreat is for you if you:

  • Have one decision that keeps coming back, even when life looks functional from the outside

  • Keep waiting for clearer timing, stronger certainty, or a safer option

  • Know that more thinking is no longer moving you forward

  • Feel the cost of circling in your energy, attention, honesty, or patience

  • Want to separate what is yours to choose from what you cannot control

  • Value privacy and think most clearly on your own

  • Want structure and depth without a group, call, or coach hovering

It is not a quick answer, a decision-making hack, or a push to act before you are ready.

It is steadier and more honest than that.

What you'll leave with

  • A clearer view of the decision you have been circling

  • A more honest sense of where waiting may already be costing you

  • A cleaner line between your responsibility and what belongs elsewhere

  • A grounded understanding of what the real choices ask of you

  • A named part of yourself that can meet the next step with more steadiness

  • One practical action you are willing and able to take next

  • A way to return to clarity if the old loop starts again

Before you buy

The Choice Point is a self-guided retreat for private reflection. It is a reflective and educational experience, not therapy, counselling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or crisis support. The day asks you to look honestly at one decision you have been circling. At times, that may feel uncomfortable, especially if the choice involves real people, consequences, money, timing, uncertainty, or a conversation you have been avoiding.

The retreat is paced and grounded, with pauses, movement, optional audio support, and evening integration built in. You move through it in your own time, and you can pause, skip, or stop any part of it whenever you need to.

You stay responsible for your own wellbeing, choices, interpretations, and actions throughout. If you are going through something that needs proper support at the moment, or you are unsure whether this kind of reflective work is right for you just now, please speak to a qualified professional before you begin.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE

Saying...

“I came into the day thinking I needed the right answer. What I actually needed was to stop carrying the whole outcome as if it all belonged to me.

The retreat helped me see the choice more clearly, separate what I could control from what I couldn’t, and leave with one grounded next step.”

Solo Retreat Participant

“This gave me the space to face a decision I had been mulling for too long. It didn’t rush me or push me into a fixed answer.

It helped me notice where waiting was already costing me, what part of the decision was mine, and what I was ready to do next.”

FAQ's

How long does this retreat take?

The Choice Point is designed to be completed slowly over a full day, roughly 6 to 7 hours including breaks. The retreat includes a short grounding section, five core sections, a longer pause for food, movement and rest, and an evening integration practice.

As a guide, the first three core sections are best completed before lunch, followed by a longer pause before returning to the afternoon sections.

The timings are there to support the experience, not control it. Move through the retreat in order, and let each section take the time it needs.

Do I need any special location?

No. Anywhere you can protect uninterrupted time works: home, an Airbnb, your garden, or any quiet space where you can think, write, pause and move around a little.

You will need enough space to place a few pieces of paper down and stand beside them, or a table if standing or moving is not comfortable. A quiet route, garden, or indoor space for a reflective walk later in the day is also helpful.

The space you create around the work matters more than where you are.

What materials do I need?

Each retreat has a full list in the Welcome section of exactly what you need. For The Choice Point, you will need your retreat guide, a journal or notebook, a pen, a few loose pieces of paper, cards, or sticky notes for the decision exercises, and two small pieces of paper or card for The Choice Walk.

You may also want headphones for the optional audio practices, water, food, a quiet place to walk, and any practical information you genuinely need for the decision, such as figures, dates, notes, advice, or questions you want to clarify.

Do I need prior experience with self-development work?

No. The process is structured to guide you whether this is familiar territory or new. If you have already done a lot of reflective work, the structure gives your insight somewhere precise to go.

What if I get stuck or emotional during the retreat??

The retreat is paced with grounding, breaks, movement and evening integration, so you can slow down or step away whenever you need to. You set the depth and the speed.

You can pause, skip, or stop any part of the retreat if that is the responsible choice for you.

Is this suitable for someone in crisis or with significant mental health needs?

Remote Retreats are reflective, self-guided experiences for emotionally stable adults. They are not therapy, counselling, crisis support, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, currently need professional mental health support, or are facing immediate danger, this may not be the right container right now.

Can I do this more than once?

Yes. You can return to the retreat whenever you are facing a decision that keeps circling. A second pass may reveal a different layer, a clearer next step, or a more honest view of what is yours to choose.

You can also revisit it if the same decision changes shape, new information arrives, or you notice yourself slipping back into waiting for certainty before taking the next grounded step.

What makes this different from therapy or coaching?

Therapy, counselling and coaching happen in relationship with a professional. This is a private, self-guided process you move through alone, on your own terms.

The Choice Point helps you face one decision you have been circling, separate what belongs to you from what you cannot control, and identify one grounded next step you are willing and able to take.
